An expired friend communicates !

          A few days ago on 5th of July this year itself, I saw a dream. In the dream I saw my late childhood friend Romi who had died in an accident long ago. Prior to it I never saw him in my dreams.

          In 1991 I started my job at Mumbai, nearly 1500 Kms away from my native place. Sometimes in 1992-93, my mother intimated me about Romi's accidental death through a letter. At that time I was a bachelor and so I assumed that Romi also died while still a bachelor. I had not met him for a few years so I had no information about him.A Sikh lad, he resided at my maternal grandparents place and during my visits there since age of 6-7 we were friends.It was just a coincidence that his mother was my mother's friend and she had also died accidentally when Romi was a toddler. Thereafter Romi was brought up by his maternal grandparents.

          In the dream that I am describing, I saw that Romi has a lovely daughter nearly three years old and she is playing some instrument. His daughter gives a similar instrument to me. I laugh and say- 'what should I do with it,should I play with it.' Romi says that his daughter has gifted the instrument to me.Thereafter I try to play with the instrument but no proper sound is produced. Romi says- 'It has not to be played this way. Let me tell you.' Thereafter he takes the instrument and playing on the instrument produces a Hindi song.Then he takes me to his home. On the staircases to his home itself, I meet his wife who is a young lady and as per traditions for the newly married Sikh girls,she has covered her head. Thereafter I awoke. I was surprised at the dream. I saw Romi in my dream more than twenty years after his death that too with his daughter and wife.What does the dream means? Has Romi taken rebirth and now he is married and has a daughter also.I discussed about the dream with my wife and a colleague. I was perplexed at why I saw Romi with a wife and daughter when he died a bachelor.

          Ultimately the mystery was solved in the evening when I had a talk with my mother. I asked my mother whether Romi was a bachelor when he died. 

' No, he had been married ' mom told me. 

'Has he had any child at the time of his death? '

'Yes. he had a daughter'

'How much old she was when Romi expired?'

'Three years old.'

'Oh!' I was amazed. 

          My mother continued with the details that Romi's widowed wife has been remarried. His daughter is along with her mother. Romi's maternal uncle has made a provision of Rs.Ten Lacs for Romi's daughter as Fixed Deposit etc.

          Now it occurs to me that all these years I have been under impression that Romi died a bachelor. I used to think how unfortunate my friend was and in some respects his mother had a better fortune because she atleast had a family when she accidentally died. To correct me my friend communicated to me via a dream that he had a family.Not only that he made me meet his family.
